Super Green Web Hosting – Beware!
ByI just received this note from one of our readers. “After seeing the link on your website, I decided to sign up with Super Green Web Hosting. I found their rates good and decided to go for the three year term and paid upfront via PayPal. Their site advertises “Instant Activation” which could not be further from the truth. After waiting 14 hours, I contacted their online chat and was informed that my account would be live in a couple of hours. Not true. I waited an additional 8 hours with no welcome e-mail then contacted the online support. After waiting a few minutes a rep came online and asked the domain I signed up with. This was the same question the earlier rep had asked and it was in the form when you start the chat. After checking for a few minutes he came back and wanted to know If I had received a phone call or e-mail for account verification. I told him I had received two e-mails and I had replied to them right away. He informed me my account was on hold and he needed all of my information and he would forward it to the billing department. I became very uncomfortable with this style of business and told the rep this. He then asked the same question about the additional information with I felt was not reasonable sending over a non-sure chat service.
I then asked to cancel the registration and refund my PayPal account as I was going to another host. He never replied and I have been forced to open a PayPal dispute. It is now 48 hours later and Super Green Hosting has not replied to my PayPal dispute and they still have my money. I have researched a bit more and found that they have a Sister Company Justhost.com I will not give this Company or any Company associated with Super Green Web Hosting my business in the future.
I just wanted to warn your readers of the terrible service I received from this outfit.”

Just an update to your post. As of 2/14/10 I have not been issued a refund from SuperGreen or has my PayPal dispute been responded to. Not a Company to do business with.

Well, it appears Super Green is trying to teach me a lesson. Whatever that might be, They have not responded to my refund requests nor have they responded to the PayPal dispute request for this transaction. They are dragging this out this much longer then they need to.

Just received word from our reader that PayPal gave him back his money yesterday. He said the fine people at Super Green Hosting never responded to his request for a refund or to PayPal’s request in the dispute.
Be careful who you deal with on the web!
